Okay, this is too small for me but I feel like someone really needs to buy it.

How cute is that?
Etsy is surprisingly awesome when it comes to clothing the fatties. And it’s especially awesome when it comes to clothing the fatties with custom-made clothing that is not as expensive as you might expect.
Who are your favorite sellers for clothes? There are scads of great jewelry sellers but I’m thinking specifically of clothes this time around.
Here’s some shops I dig:
Cupcake and Cuddlebunny
Jane Bon Bon
Jibri
Persephone Plus
Hissyfitoly
Selena Eon
ETA: Just found another one! I’m in love with the reconstructed denim ray gun jacket.

Ack! I love Jane BonBon! I just bought a custom cherry sundress from her and it is great! I gave her my measurements and a photo and off she went.
Great customer service, too. I had lots of questions and she answered them without making me feel stupid. Definitely recommend. Once I get the dress on and dolled up, I may submit the photo and be her “model” for it!
I’m totally digging that pink shirtdress at Hissyfitoly’s site. But I’m going on vacation the 29th, and can’t plunk down $85 for one dress right now.
Ok, I have been reading your blog for a few weeks now and this post has finally pushed me into commenting! (By the way, for FA blog is totally the best FA blog. Just sayin’).
When it comes to plus sized on Etsy, no one beats: http://Runzwithscissors.etsy.com
This woman makes A-MAZING skirts. I have owned three. They also run larger than advertised. (I am a 16-18 in on bottom in US sizes but her “Medium” and “Large” skirts both fit me excellently) Also, I’ve spoken to her some and I know she would totally take a special order for a larger size if someone were just to ask.
I’ve gotten fed up with the fact that everyone seems to want to do ruffles and sparkly and straight skirts these days and am going to get some Coni Crawford patterns and just make what I want to wear. I can’t get over feeling that I look less than my best, and feel restricted, in a straight-cut skirt. (sigh)
LOVE Jane Bon-Bon. I have several of her dresses, and a skirt, and they are wonderful. Plus, she’s great to work with and so eager to get everything just right. Money well spent.
One of my friends from the flickr fatshionista group swears by http://www.secretlentil.com. (They have an etsy store but it’s closed for the weekend as she’s attending a craft event).
And Jane Bonbon’s stuff makes me drool.
I love the dress your wearing, but I’m finding it hard to navigate Etsy. Could you provide a direct link to it?
I had no idea that etsy would have larger sizes. I just figured etsy designers wouldn’t go about a Large, like other indie designers. I’m so excited about this!
I’ve favorited all the designers you mentioned and now I know where to look the next time I need a new outfit.
It’s frustrating. There is nobody affordable out there that I can find producing clothes in plus sizes that dovetail with my personal esthetic. I really don’t want to buy 9/10 of the plus-size clothing I see. It looks really cute on other people, but it’s very much not my thing. Total personality clash.
DIY is great, but I don’t have the time or energy to do that right now, maybe ever, so I’m pretty much stuck in jeans and tee shirts.
Jackie, that’s not me – it’s an image from a sale on etsy – I thought I’d pasted the link but oops! I will try to find it again!
Naamah, how would you describe your personal style?
My fave plus size sellers.

I just found this last shop I love everything.

I just found (that is to say, bought) what looks like a super-cute dress at Hissyfitoly, and I’m quickly falling in love with some of the things at Vigilante Labs. Excelente.
That is a cute dress! Unfortunately if it’s too small for you, it’s probably too small for me too.
I do want this necklace though. Seriously, how cool to wear to a convention? Especially if you’re running/playing a steampunk game at a con. *sigh* If I skipped groceries for a month…
If you all like Natural Organic fibers and comfortable clothing try modestmaven.etsy.com and indigoinspired.etsy.com. I am a size 24 apple shape and both these lovely ladies accommodated my measurements . The price well worth it !
I just have to jump in and say I just discovered your blog last week, and I love it. This post is fantastic because I’d love to buy stuff for my huge hiney from Etsy but searching for “plus size” there has been bumming me out. I am soooo jumping on this. Thank you!!!!!!
Thanks so much for the list! Some of these I had found – but I just hearted the rest!
I love:
megankills.etsy.com
erinliz.etsy.com
They offer good vintage clothes at VERY reasonable prices! Which I think is hard to find sometimes.
She has up to size 18 on most dresses, affordable. http://TURK182.etsy.com /
These are probably about size 18 too
