I know that May 4th is coming to a close for Australia and New Zealand but it was the official release date for Screw Inner Beauty: Lessons from the Fatosphere -Trash the diet and self-loathing and get on with your life! Which, I must say, is a deliciously convoluted title. *grin*

It’s very exciting to think that people might be finding our work on the book shelves (generally filed with the diet books, from what I’m hearing) as an alternative to more of the same self-hating message.

There is so much to life, so much that gets lost on the diet roller coaster.

Well, I’m not getting a copy till the weekend (payday is Friday!), but according to Chapters’ website, the Chapters store in Pointe-Claire (Montreal suburbs) has 3 copies in stock already. Guess that the downtown locations will get them later this week or simply haven’t added them to the database yet.

I stumbled across your book at a local bookstore here in Australia on May 2!

I’m about to read it through for the second time, now that I’ve had some time to digest and think about stuff I read the first time. I really enjoyed the book and have found it insightful, thought provoking and funny! :)

I just got the email message that my preorder is being shipped and will likely arrive on May 6! I don’t know how I’ll sleep/work until then (eating I will manage).
I accidentally ordered two copies but I’ll be so happy to have an extra one to give away!
And I’ll see if it’s on the shelves at my local indie bookseller, too!
    How exciting!
I can’t stop with the exclaimation points!
