Just in case y’all can’t get enough of my pithy prose *snerk*, you can check out my brand spankin’ new craft blog:

Reclaimed Whimsy

It isn’t that I am bored of writing here by any means. I’m not going to be updating there every single day. I just had the domain and have always meant to use it as promotion for my etsy shop. There are a bunch of entries there that, if you read my livejournal, you have probably already seen, but there’s a new one about fixing up a scratching post, at least.

Yay for artsy stuff!

I enjoyed seeing your art shrines and tin-box dioramas. Maybe you can pass along some tips about something that’s always interested me: how do you remove the paint from those tins? I’ve tried and have terrible luck with it.

V – I have yet to do it without a lot of nasty paint stripper. In theory, you can use a heat gun, but mine isn’t powerful enough. I have resorted to a) painting over the tins I buy or get second hand and b) ordering blank tins online. They are pretty cheap and pretty common, so that helps!
