Here it is, another Friday.
First, I’d like to answer a few questions:
1. Yes, I am still looking at “applications” for cobloggers! I will probably actively solicit for cobloggers until Monday.
2. I am ALWAYS happy to hear from people who would like to do a guest post. I love guest posts. I don’t promise to post your guest post but I will certainly read it and consider it.
3. I don’t actually remember what number 3 was supposed to be.
How’s your Friday? I hope it is puppies and kittens and baby otters!

My Friday is awesome, cause I’M GOING TO DISNEYWORLD ON TUESDAY, WHOOOOO!!!
My Friday is nervous. I have an interview for employment at Lane Bryant. (Please, whatever anybody feels about the chain itself, no negative comments.)
Yay, Disney World!
Sarahbear, the three years I spent working at Lane Bryant were HUGE in me developing any sort of fat positivity. Both the environment (which had a lot to do with the manager) and the concept itself – helping other fat women find clothes that made them look and feel awesome – were serious boosters for me.
The kids at the school where I work were friggin’ inSAAAAAAAAAANE. I don’t know if it’s the long winter (I live up north) and cabin fever, or barometric pressure change, or if they’ve unilaterally decided to go apeshit, but I’m pretty glad the week is over. Yay, friday!
My Friday was pretty stressful at work, but I got to go half an hour early. Then I came home, watched Doctor Who and I’m about to have Ikea meatballs for supper. So it turned out good.
Also, it has been a good day for overseas clients/freelancers being really cute with the not-quite-right English. I’d be a jerk to laugh at them for making mistakes, but sometimes the mistakes are adorable. The pleasures of working with languages!
Gingembre, the cutest thing ever was a French cell phone guy telling me a particular model had been selling like pancakes. Because it is hot cakes – such a small difference but such comedic value. Also, he was total hotness.
Good luck Sarahbear!
My preschooler and I spent the morning in the garden, which is sadly neglected for the last year. I unburied my Bramley apple tree and discovered the epimedium at its feet is flourishing and about to bloom. My little guy proudly dug up the rhubarb I planted last week and displayed his find to me. We replanted it. The daffodils are in mid-season with the early bloomers at their tail and a few of the later ones still in bud. I also got my calla lily bulbs from Costco planted. I’ve never planted them before, but they were so pretty in the picture, purple, pink and white; that I couldn’t resist.
Then we had lunch and wrapped big brother’s birthday present. I did the paper and the little fellow placed the bows, it needed three I was informed.
In a few minutes I’ll be off to fetch my other two from school.
My friday is kind of awesome because I found a good price on fresh fava beans which I will eat for dinner tonight, and because I picked up a copy of This Is Who I Am, and because we’ve got plenty of money in the bank to pay the bills that came in the mail today and still eat for the rest of the month with a bit left over…and that’s before my paycheck even appears!
In addition to all that, I had a lovely chat with a bookseller and got several compliments on my awesome new blouse that I got on sale last week. Oh, and the talk over at Shapely Prose is reminding me of a lot of great comedy routines I hadn’t thought of in a long time.
Best of all, tonight there’s a new episode of Battlestar Galactica, the debut on Sci Fi of the Sarah Jane Adventures, and a chance to bond geekily with Mr. Twistie over good television.
Now that’s what I call a day of kittens and baby otters!
I would LOVE to do a guest post! I’m currently working on a poetry collection for class about my body image and weight.
(If you want, you can see my first poem for that project on my blog at jigglybits.wordpress.com)
But I could post about anything! I’m just getting into the blogging…
