You know what I need? I need a another coblogger. Naamah is phenomenal and totally still here, but her schedule doesn’t allow for a lot of regular blogging.

So, are you ready and able to write about fat, fatshion, and anything else under the fatosphere? Do you have strong opinions about fatty topics and the writing ability to back it up?

Email me! Because, yo, there are only so many hours in the day. Link this around as much as you’d like – I’d love a wide variety of people to apply!

The addy is therotund at therotund dot com. If you don’t email me your samples, I can’t consider you.

You know, I would so totally jump at this chance to impress you with my ‘mad writing skillz’, but my schedule is probably just as bad as Naamah’s at the moment.
If you ever want a guest blogger on Children’s Issues (Especially fashion- You think us ladies have it bad? Try shopping for two boys that have unique proportions! LOL) or Obesity and Poverty (Or any intersections of those topics, I am here. I am more here after May 8th.
    :)

Krista, that sounds right up my alley – email me when you have a moment or two to put something together!

If you’d ever like a guest post on any kind of intersection between fatpol and children’s literature, I’d love to.

I’m totally interested in doing it! I have never had the drive to keep a blog of my own going for very long, but I’d love to be able to post on topics that interest me! I have tons of partially finished posts written up in Word documents on my computer, just waiting to be finished and published on a blog somewhere.

Rebecca – I’m always interested in stuff from guest bloggers, so, please, send me something!

Arashi-san, email me anything finished that you’d like to see here and we’ll see.

What kind of schedule/responsibilities did you have in mind? I’m interested too, but my schedule isn’t always conducive to blog maintenance.

maewyn, that’s a really good question. Ideally, I’d find a couple of people who could help me get something up here at least once a day. I’d love to see the posting volume go higher than that but I just don’t think I can do it alone. I’m amenable to other people’s schedules, I just might need more than one person if that 1st person is busy, you know?

    Wow.

Re: scheduling: if you get two people, you can have one of them post on Monday and Thursday, one of them post on Tuesday and Friday, and you can post on Wednesday and Saturday, if you want.

Then you have six posts a week and everyone gets to ruminate on the week in review.

I may email you some more questions about the perspective you want (you know, kind of like how a Democratic Presidential candidate has to choose whether s/he wants a moderate or a progressive for a running mate) along with a couple of guest posts I did for other people.

    Now I’m nervous.

What kind of samples are you looking for? Do they need to be about fat? I have very few blogs/journals about fat specifically, but I could write one, I’m sure. Or were you just wanting to get a sample of our writing in general?

1- Do the samples have to be work that you have put up on a blog etc?

2- Do you need any experience blogging? Beyond maintaining a lj and commenting I have no experience with blogging. Which is why this would be perfect for me because I’d like to start a fatosphere blog but don’t feel up to doing it on my own, however, it may not be what you want from a potential blogger.

Oh, that would be so fun, if only I weren’t up to my ears in that “just about to graduate” time, I would so send you some of my dazling and hilarious work. :)

Would you really consider a freelancer or two submitting the occasional guest post for your perusal? I haven’t the time required for maintaining a decent blog, but I pine for the chance to express myself. And I think we’re on the same wavelength a lot of the time.

Ah! I would love to do something like this! I love this blog! Are you still accepting samples? (even just for guest posts?)

I sent you some linkys. Enjoy.

Okay, I’ll shoot you an email sometime tonight or tomorrow (I’ll have to dig up something that is post-worthy!)…I could definitely write something two or three times a week, no problem.

Yeah, things have been kind of . . . echhh. I’ve got some personal stuff going on, as well as the new professional stuff, and it’s been a bit crazy.

I do have something I’m going to post Real Soon Now, I just need to finish writing it!

Sorry I’ve been so lax. I do look forward to seeing a new face around, just because I think the company would be awesome!
